Our COVID-19 Response at Elder Care Homecare. Read Now
During the COVID-19 Pandemic was when Elder Care’s services were needed the most. Seniors were among the most vulnerable, and providing care for them at such trying times is crucial. Many of the Elder Care nurses and aides were providing 24-hour care. Because the seniors’ safety is their top priority, all caregivers were given PPE (personal protective equipment) and anything they needed.
Some clients that were facing COVID weren’t able to see their loved ones. Still, Elder Care caregivers were allowed to visit, and they helped the seniors FaceTime, their families. Being in touch with them is how they help them feel connected, and with any other challenges, they faced during their daily activities.
Elder Care took all the necessary measures they could since the beginning stages of the pandemic to protect both staff and patients. They see these difficult times as an opportunity to carry out their mission of providing seniors with quality and dignified lives. They are looking at this as the perfect time to keep working, accepting new clients, and as a time to step up and assist them in any way they can.
As Elder Care recognizes and appreciates those on the frontlines, they donated lunch to all of White Plains Hospital employees; all The Bristal Assisted Living employees and BayBerry Nursing Home employees on Memorial Day. That adds up to about 300 lunches provided as appreciation to those serving the community alongside this elder home care agency in New York.
Elder Care continues serving the community regardless of how difficult it may seem. Their priority is their community and will do anything in their hands to turn these trying times into positive opportunities for their clients, staff, and community.
